Bye

This will be the last time I write on the blog. There are very few words left to the 4000 I have to write. It could be that I have enjoyed so much writing on this blog that maybe I will write even when finish it, but I’m quite sure that won’t be the case. Anyway, I hope you won’t get very bored reading this blog, but I didn’t know what to say, and at the end I didn’t have more ideas, but here they are, 4000 words!! (88)

Stress...

Exams are very near. I don’t know if I will be able to prepare them very well. Until now, I have been doing all the homework (and I haven’t finished yet…), so I didn’t have much time to study. It’s a bit depressing and stressing, now that I realize that I haven’t got time to do all I have to do. I have the English exam this Monday, and I have studied almost nothing. I hope this weekend I will be an effort and be more studious than usual.
But English exam is not what bother me the most. I know it is difficult, but I have been studying English for many years and I have some resources. But German and linguistics are a bit different. I have never studied German before, and the teacher has already explained 9 lessons this semester. It was too fast for me. I couldn’t catch all the things that the teacher explained, and now I have to study 9 lessons alone. But I think I’m a bit lucky when I think about other people that don’t go to the Official Language School like me. At least, I have a way to review some things.
I have never lived Christmas like this. They used to be two week to rest, disconnect from the routine, be with the family and eat until you can’t even move a finger; but now they are boring. I have to do homework every day and if a day I can do nothing for whatever reason, the next day I have to do the double. Well, this is the student life. It has some advantages and some disadvantages. I suppose very few people will be absolutely happy with his job or the career he is studying. Well, it’s time to study. I will have enough time to rest after the exams. (311)

New Year

Today I will talk about New Year’s Eve, because it’s the most important event of recent days (and maybe the most important of all the year too).  This is a day (and night of course) to be with friends or family, it’s a day to eat like you hadn’t eat in a month, and above all, it’s a day to dance and have fun!

My friends and I went to Vilafamés, a town near Castelló, because one of our friends has a house there where we could stay. We went there on Friday morning, but before we met at the supermarket and we bought all the things that we could need. Furthermore, everyone brought something from his house, so we didn’t have too many things and cook them. All the people brought something for the dinner, but I was responsible for bringing things for the breakfast and picnic, so I took chocolate cupcakes and “Chips Ahoy” –I know it isn’t very original, is it? But I have to say that it was what people ate the most.
Since I have memory I have gone to my town Xodos with my parents (I wrote about it some days before). But now that I am getting older I prefer going with my friends. But even going with my friends, I have always had some kind of favoritism for small towns. Some people prefer spending New Year’s Eve in big cities and going to big discos. But I like much more the ambience that there is in towns. It’s like you know all the people there and you can laugh and dance with them. Another thing to keep in mind is that big discos are very expensive, meanwhile small orchestras are free and you can go home whenever you want. I don’t mind to spend more money this night, but not if I can have the same (or even more) fun without wasting it. Well, now I will tell you more or less what is what I did this special night.

When we got home, we chose a room and dropped the luggage. Then we played cards and watched TV until it was time to dinner. We were eleven people to eat at the house, but still some food remained at the table. When we finished, it was time to eat the twelve grapes. We ate them, congratulated each other and some of us dressed up and played with the cotillion. Then, we went to the town square, where the dance was, and we spent there the rest of the night. We did lots of photos, but unfortunately I lost my camera. I realized that I had lost it the next day, when I was going to watch them and I saw that I only had the cover of the camera. I felt very disgusted, and I thought that my parents were going to kill me.
We spent there the rest of the weekend. Now I remember how it was the Saturday and it makes me laugh. We were so tired that we could barely move, and we were all the day lying on the sofa and watching TV. We came back on Sunday morning, just in time to have lunch at home.
It was a very funny weekend, and I would like it to last longer, but now it is time stay home and study hard for the exams. I wish you all a happy new year and good luck with the exams (I think we will need it :S). (588)
